EXTERIOR MILLWORK

Crafting products for outdoor use we combine our precision machinery and attention to detail with materials capable of withstanding the elements.  Wind, rain, humidity, sunlight, freeze/thaw cycles and more all play havoc with the stability of most woods.  Cedar is one of the most popular exceptions, but there are a host of other materials we also use.  Some didn’t even exist a few short years ago.

Cedar

This wood contains natural oils making it highly resistant to decay, bugs and water damage.  It is also extremely strong making it an ideal choice for architectural detailing and load-bearing applications.  Finally, it ages gracefully.  Although cedar can be stained or painted to match your design needs, many people prefer the natural rustic look that gradually becomes a lovely shade of gray or silver.

Non-Organic Materials

Vinyls and polymer building materials have been around for a long time.  However, recently we’ve been working with newer inert materials that offer environmental benefits and a refreshing aesthetic.

Boral™ TruExterior is made from fly ash bound together with polymer adhesives.  The unique spherical shape of fly ash particles means less polymer bonding material is required.  The totally inert material is environmentally responsible and can be finished in virtually any exterior coating.
